Jews for Johnson

Following our endorsement of Brandon Johnson last week, JCUA Votes is launching the “Jews for Johnson” initiative to organize Jewish community support for Brandon Johnson’s mayoral campaign!

Jewish tradition teaches us that all people are created b’tzelem Elohim, in the image of the divine. The idea that every single person in our city has inherent value is the foundation of Brandon’s campaign.

The grassroots coalition rallying around Brandon reflects his deep commitment to interfaith, multiracial solidarity. Ordinary people are uniting around a shared vision: teachers, healthcare workers, faith communities, unions, neighborhood groups. As Jews, we are proud to be part of this movement.

We are ready to come together as a Jewish community, to talk with our friends, mobilize our congregations, phone bank, and knock doors to elect Mayor Brandon Johnson on April 4, 2023. Join us in this work!

Here’s how you can take action:

1. Add your name to the #JewsForJohnson open letter

Take one minute to sign our letter and join thousands of Jews who support Brandon Johnson’s campaign for Mayor. Sign here!

2. Join our “Jewish Day of Action” for Brandon!

This Sunday, March 19 at 2:00 pm, Jewish clergy, elected officials, and communal leaders are coming together for a rally at Lakeview Taproom (1426 W Irving Park Rd) followed by canvassing in Lakeview and Uptown. Register here!

3. Canvass and phone-bank for Brandon!

JCUA Votes is hosting canvassing and phone-banking opportunities for Brandon Johnson from now until Election Day on April 4, 2023.

Let’s win this!
