When we organize, we win!

We did it, ya’ll — we made it through our first-ever Election Day in Chicago as JCUA Votes!

Last night, after months of organizing, we saw the fruits of our hard work, as JCUA Votes candidates for alderperson and District Councils won huge victories across the city!

But our work is not over. We’ve got five more weeks of organizing ahead of us before the April 4 runoff, which will determine the future of Chicago. We need your support to push JCUA Votes and our candidates to victory.

When we organize, we win!

Desmon Yancy won 26% of votes in the 5th Ward — the most of all candidates in his race — and will face Martina “Tina” Hone in the runoff.

Angela Clay won 36% of votes in the 46th Ward — the most of all candidates in the race — and will face Kim Walz in the runoff.

19th Together’s candidates received the most votes for District Council and are projected to win their election as a slate (Maurilio Garcia 18.8%, Jenny Schaffer 23.9%, and Sam Schoenburg 17%).

Our 20th District’s candidates received the most votes for District Council and won their election as a slate (Darrell Dacres 17.5%, Deirdre O’Conner 25.2%, and Anna Rubin 24.4%).
